Cervical Cancer Vaccine Success Story

The cervical cancer vaccination program launched Australia in April 2007 has seen 3.7 million girls vaccinated with Gardasil. Indications from a study headed by Dr.Karen Canfell are that if the high rate of immunisation is retained, the number of new HPV infections will fall by more than 50% in the next 2 years and by 2050 the reduction in infections will be 97%.
